Job Description:

We are seeking a Director of Research to lead and refine the investment research efforts of our partner RIA firm. This role will be instrumental in building the research platform, optimizing due diligence processes, and driving the development of alternative investment capabilities.Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead and enhance investment research methodologies to ensure a robust and evolving research framework.
• Oversee due diligence and evaluation of investment managers, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Develop and maintain a curated focus list of high-quality investment products.
• Conduct deep research on investment strategies, including alternative investments, and present findings internally and externally.
• Guide and mentor junior research team members to develop institutional-quality research capabilities.
• Integrate AI and technology-driven processes to streamline research and reporting.
• Collaborate with leadership to optimize the investment platform, support acquisitions, and enhance portfolio strategies.
• Stay ahead of market trends, economic shifts, and industry developments impacting investment strategies.Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years of investment research experience, ideally with experience in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Business (MBA and/or CFA preferred).
  • Strong managerial and mentoring skills, with a focus on developing research teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills-must be able to translate complex investment concepts into clear, actionable insights.
  • Experience with alternative investments and multi-asset strategies preferred.
  • Proficiency in Bloomberg, Morningstar Direct, and Orion is a plus.
