About The Role:

As a CBRE Senior Contract Negotiator, you will assist with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, primarily focusing on real estate brokerage agreements under the supervision of attorneys within CBRE's Americas Advisory Legal team.

You will provide strategic guidance to internal stakeholders, identify potential risks, and assist with ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. This position requires strong writing and analytical skills, careful attention to detail, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to adapt to new technology and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

What You'll Do:

  • This is a hybrid role, requiring you to be in the office 2-3x a week.
  • Assist with drafting, reviewing, and redlining commercial contracts, including standard real estate brokerage contracts (listing, representation, co-brokerage, commission agreements), NDAs, consulting agreements, and other complex agreements relating to CBRE's business under the supervision of CBRE's Americas Advisory Legal team.
  • Identify and escalate potential legal and business risks associated with contracts.
  • Support the implementation and facilitation of the contract management process.
  • Maintain contract/document management databases and ensure accurate contract records.
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of contract templates, forms, and legal resources.
  • Coordinate and connect with internal (business stakeholders, attorneys) and external (clients, property owners, co-brokers) stakeholders on contract-related matters.
  • Provide strategic guidance to internal stakeholders on contract matters.
  • Mentor, train, and guide junior contract negotiators.
  • Develop and implement best practices and processes for contract negotiation and management.
  • Conduct legal research on specific contract clauses, relevant statutes, and case law.
  • Analyze contract performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • May supervise a small team of Contract Negotiators.

    • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
    • Certified paralegal or equivalent job experience.
    • Experiencing drafting, reviewing, and redlining commercial contracts under the supervision of an attorney.
    • Experience in a related industry or legal practice area (Real Estate preferred).
    • Experience with contract management and document management software, legal technology, and contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms.
    • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
    • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
    • Meticulous attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong work ethic and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
    • Strong leadership, mentorship, and team management skills (if applicable).
    • Advanced negotiation and analytical skills.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines optimally.
    • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.

      CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Senior Contract Negotiator position is $60,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Senior Contract Negotiator position is $80,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
