OverviewChampion Windows - Vice President of OperationsAs the
Vice President of Operations, you will provide strategic
leadership, direction, and oversight of all operational functions
to drive scalable growth and operational excellence across the
organization. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of
the sales process and leadership, ensuring seamless collaboration
between sales and operations to maximize business performance. The
VP of Operations partners closely with the Division President of
Champion and CEO of Great Day to develop and execute strategies
that optimize efficiency, enhance profitability, and ensure a
world-class customer experience.Responsibilities
- Leads the development and execution of operational strategies
to enhance business performance and accelerate growth, ensuring
alignment between sales and operations.
- Drives standardization and operational excellence across all
branches, manufacturing, distribution, and service teams to ensure
efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and high-quality execution.
- Partners with the Division President of Champion to establish
and implement long-term and short-term operational goals, ensuring
alignment with overall corporate objectives.
- Oversees all operational and installation activities, working
cross-functionally with Sales, Manufacturing/Distribution, PSG,
CSG, NCC, OMG, and the Centralized Sunroom Team to optimize
processes.
- Provides executive leadership to Regional Managers and Regional
Operations Managers, ensuring that company policies, processes, and
objectives are effectively executed.
- Collaborates with sales leadership to enhance the end-to-end
sales-to-operations handoff, ensuring operational readiness and
fulfillment excellence.
- Drives financial performance by setting revenue targets,
optimizing budgets, and managing cost controls in alignment with
corporate objectives.
- Leads the expansion of new geographic markets, ensuring
successful branch openings through strategic planning, talent
acquisition, and staff training.
- Continuously analyzes operational performance, cost structures,
and forecast data, identifying areas for improvement and
implementing solutions.
- Uses Job Cost and performance analytics to assess job
profitability, contribution margins, and operational adjustments by
region and branch.
- Ensures the order management process is followed with real-time
tracking of schedules, revenue projections, and operational
efficiencies.
- Drives service excellence, ensuring customer service standards
are met, service reporting is accurate, and continuous process
improvements are implemented.
- Champions operational safety initiatives, ensuring full
compliance with safety protocols and training programs.
- Works in close partnership with the Executive Leadership Team
to integrate operational and sales strategies, driving a holistic
approach to business growth and performance.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the factory and the field,
ensuring seamless communication, alignment on priorities, and
resolution of operational challenges.Performance
Expectations/Goals:
- Customer Satisfaction: Maintain above 90% customer satisfaction
rating.
- Installation Efficiency: Maintain under 90-day cycle times for
Sunrooms and under 55-day cycle times for Windows.
- Cost Management: Maintain COGs at or below 42%.
- Revenue Growth: Sustain a minimum of 10% year-over-year
growth.
- Accounts Receivable: Maintain AR percentage below 3% with no
outstanding balances older than 30 days.QualificationsCapabilities
& Experience
- 15+ years of experience in operations, general management, or
executive leadership within a high-growth, multi-location
organization.
- Proven track record in scaling operations, driving efficiency,
and optimizing profitability.
- Experience in residential or commercial construction preferred;
bachelor's degree in business, operations, or related field highly
desirable.
- Strong financial acumen, with expertise in budgeting, cost
analysis, and operational forecasting.
- Exceptional leadership and change management skills, with the
ability to drive performance through influence and
collaboration.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate high-level
goals into operational execution.
- Expert problem-solving, conflict resolution, and
decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a
track record of fostering a high-performance culture.
- Proficiency in operational technology platforms and data-driven
decision-making.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
