1Salary: Commensurate with experiencePosition Summary:The Project
Director will collaborate with the Principal Investigator
(Residency Program Director) and lead the administration and
implementation of the day-to-day operations of training and
educational grants for the Public Health and Preventive Medicine
Residency. In this role, the Project Director ensures that grant
goals, objectives and workplans are executed on time and within
budget. Specific responsibilities include understanding the purpose
of the grants and the components of the residency, following grant
policies and procedures in writing applications and implementing
grants in accordance with applicable regulations and guidance,
providing regular reports of grant performance and progress
electronically to funding organizations, monitoring personnel and
non-personnel expenses and ensuring that current, accurate, and
complete grant progress is entered into funders' electronic data
systems. The Project Director will develop proposals and plans to
implement all grant project tasks, including regular electronic
reporting on grant performance and progress to funding
organizations. The Project Director also will serve as the liaison
between the grant projects and the residency program team. In that
role, the Project Director will be responsible for regular updates
on grant progress to residency program team. The Project Director
will also be responsible for ensuring that regular electronic
reporting to funding organizations uses quality control
procedures.Minimum Qualifications:EDUCATION:
- Master's Degree from a regionally accredited
institutionEXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience and
competencies in Community Engagement and Management. Ability to
understand complex research (qualitative/quantitative) and distill
findings into clear, strategic insights;
- Proven ability to work both independently and in close
coordination with cross functional teams;
- Proven ability to quickly identify problems and solve
them.
- Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with tight deadlines.
- Microsoft Office proficiency including Excel, PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong communications implementation skills, detail, and
deadline- oriented.
- Strong project management, negotiation, strategic thinking, and
analytical skills.
- Ability to think creatively and provide innovative solutions to
communication challenges/problems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and team
members.
- Ability to travel may be required.Preferred
Qualifications:Doctoral Degree in Public Health or related

- Provide strategic vision and direction for increasing community
participation within key groups in research and outreach designed
to promote population health.
- Identify and carry out key engagement goals, objectives and
tactics in alignment with national network priorities.
- Manage the creation and execution of an overall cohesive
community engagement framework which meets the goals at the
national level while ensuring a community-based approach.
- Foster collaborative relationships with organizations to ensure
engagement and partnership pathways to secure participation from
all key communities outlined by the project.
- Keep informed on COVID -19 and vaccine trials to ensure all
relevant information is integrated in engagement strategy.
- Provide relevant skills-building training and/or tools to all
partner organizations to assist them in carrying the project
objectives.
- Work with project colleagues, other staff and consultants to
align engagement strategy with communication, research and vaccine
acceptability strategy.
- Establish ongoing community feedback mechanisms to increase
responsiveness to community needs and to develop best
practices.
- Represent the organization at various events, on committees, at
meetings, etc, as appropriate.
- Manage assigned staff and students.
- Community Engagement Research Responsibilities.
- Inform the development of research plans by providing strategic
input on formative research design for testing best practices for
engagement among members representative of the target audience
segments.
- Inform the evaluation framework for community engagement tools
and services.
- Develop, implement, track, and report project community
engagement performance metrics and measures.
- Collaborate to evaluate and interpret the effectiveness of
GEORGIA CEAL by reviewing data, outlining implications, and
developing recommendations.Pre-Employment/Employment
