Senior Manager OR Director of Accounting and Business AdvisoryApplyLocation: Atlanta, GAHybridType: Direct HireID: GA142-2743284Posted: Mar 11, 2025Top 25 CPA firm in Atlanta is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and self-motivated Senior Manager or Director to join their growing Accounting and Business Advisory team in Atlanta!Either level will be considered.The ideal Senior Manager candidate will have a minimum of 5 to 7 years of well-rounded accounting and/or finance experience preferably in the Construction, Real Estate, Medical, Manufacturing, or Distribution industries with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a management/supervisory role. The ideal Director candidate will have a minimum of 10-12 years of well-rounded accounting and/or finance experience preferably in the same industries with a minimum of 7 years' experience in a management/supervisory role.Responsibilities:

• Managing projects including weekly, monthly, and year-end close processes, management reporting, and preparing reconciliations.
• Maintaining fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
• Designing, implementing, and/or converting systems for clients.
• Calculating and reporting indirect taxes.
• Helping clients prepare cash flow and/or financial projections.
• Reviewing client's payroll and benefits processing and 1099 preparation.
• Advising clients on both tactical and strategic financial decisions.
• Ability to serve in an outsourced or contracted interim/fractional Controller or CFO role.
• Troubleshooting client issues as they arise.
• Actively managing numerous staff at various levels working on a variety of projects, including mentoring and addressing personnel issues.Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; CPA license a plus.
• Minimum experience levels as noted above.
• Proficient with QuickBooks Desktop or Online and Excel. Experience using the following software is also a plus: Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Sage 50 (Peachtree), Sage 100 (Master Builder), Sage 300 (Timberline), Sys pro, fixed asset software, ProSystems Fx Engagement.
• Hands-on industry experience with Controller and CFO functions.
• Prior experience working with a wide variety of challenges and creating viable solutions for clients across many different industries.
• Some accounting experience within real estate, manufacturing, distribution, or construction is a must.
• Ability to travel to client locations as needed.
• Experience with payroll functions and related tax compliance is a plus.
• Experience preparing Sales & Use Tax returns is a plus.
• Prior experience serving clients in a professional services environment is a plus.
• Consultative approach and client service oriented.
• Exceptional, detailed, and proactive communicator (verbal & written).
• Solid staff management experience and skills including addressing client-related and personnel-related issues.
• Experience in a CPA firm with a large number of clients (40-50) is required.What They Can Offer Candidates:
