Description:The Phoenix at Braselton is seeking a Maintenance Tech /Facilities Assistant to join their team!Shift DetailsFull time. Monday- Friday; 9-5pmPURPOSEThe Facilities Assistant is responsible for assisting the Facilities Director in the overall maintenance and upkeep of the community. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with minor repairs; collaborating in the identification, inventory and repairs as required of both large, small and on-going maintenance projects.PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESFacility ServicesReview the maintenance log daily and complete any task which are in the scope of your job duties (initial and date each task as completed)Conduct inspections of furniture and providing appropriate maintenance and schedule detail cleanings with vendorsComplete minor repairs such as replacement of faucet washers and spindles, faulty window latches, broken tank toilet handles, unplugging clogged toilets and drains, changing light bulbs, tightening loose hinges or door mechanisms, diagnostic & repair of stand-alone saflok door lock units i.e. batteries replacement and general maintenancePerform task that involve hanging of bulletin boards, pictures, coat hooks and necessary items in resident's suites and associate's officesActs as the liaison with respect to the Facilities Director, Executive Director and external vendorsResponsible for touch up paint jobs, furniture refinishing, furniture moving, transportation of extraneous materials for elimination to proper sitesFollow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixturesSteam clean or shampoo carpetMake adjustments to heating cooling and ventilation system which may include changing filtersGather and empty trashRemove debris from outdoor porches, parking lot and dumpster areaReplace light bulbs throughout the communityNotify supervisor, by documenting in the maintenance log, concerning the need for major repairs or additions to the building operating systemsRequirements:EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE- CERTIFICATIONEducation: High School Diploma/ GED requiredOne (1) year job related experienceSKILLS AND ABILITIESUnderstanding of infection control proceduresDemonstrate the ability to Multi task and Manage StressUnderstands and embraces the assisted living philosophyAbility to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours, available for our customers at peak service delivery days and timesPossess written and verbal skills for effective communicationDemonstrating tact and a helpful attitude are necessary pre-requisites for a customer-service oriented environmentPId1cad585232e-25660-37195328
