Job Description:
Emory Specialty Associates (ESA) is seeking to hire Anesthetists
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Certified
Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) - to become a vital part of Emory
Healthcare---s integrated academic healthcare system. Work
Hours/Schedule: Full Time, 10 or 12-hour shifts, along with extra
shift opportunities, if desired. No calls or weekends. Experience:
General Anesthesia experience in an Ambulatory Surgical setting
highly preferred . Highlights of joining the ESA Anesthetist Team:
Salary range: $168,300 - $205,000 per year (for Full Time, 1.0FTE)
based on years of experience as an Anesthetist (CRNA or CAA). Part
Time position (20-31 hours per week) will be benefits eligible.

Emory Specialty Associates (ESA), handles Ortho/Spine, General
Surgery, Plastics, OB & GYN, GI and Outpatient Specialty cases at
Emory Johns Creek Hospital (EJCH), Emory Ortho & Spine Hospital
(EUOSH) and 14 Outpatient Surgical Centers located in the greater
Atlanta Metro area. ESA Anesthetists are an integral part of the
Emory Healthcare integrated academic health care system committed
to caring, excellence, integrity and value. JOB DESCRIPTION: Under
the direction of an Anesthesiologist, assists in the administration
of general and regional anesthesia to surgical and non-surgical
procedure patients. Performs initial acute cardio-pulmonary
resuscitation in life-threatening situations or as directed by a
physician. Interprets and records patient's physiological and
pharmacological status. Assists the Anesthesiologist in gathering
routine pre-op data. Instructs others in principles and practices
of anesthesia, respiratory care and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation
as directed by the anesthesiologist. Assists in research projects
as carried out by an Anesthesiologist. Establishes multi-parameter
monitoring of patient prior to, during and after anesthesia or in
other acute care situations, including ECG, direct arterial
pressure, central venous pressure, arterial blood gas
determinations, hematocrits, and routine measurement of
temperature, respiration, blood pressure, and heart rate.
Establishes other monitoring as may be developed for anesthesia and
intensive care use. Manages pre- and post-anesthetic care,
including ventilatory support of patients as assigned by an
Anesthesiologist. Manages ventilators and other respiratory care
parameters as directed by the physician. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of an accredited Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
(CRNA) or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) Master---s
Degree program. Licensed or eligible to practice in the State of
Georgia. Certified by National Board of Certification and
Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) or National
Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants
(NCCAA). Must maintain biannual certification through the
submission of Continuing Medical Education credits (CMEs). BLS,
ACLS, PALS certifications from American Heart Association (AHA)
