• Employment Type: TravelJob Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Preoperative UnitLocation: Atlanta, Georgia Shift Type: 8-hour Days; 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM Contract Duration: 13 weeks Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Preoperative Unit team at QuickMed Staffing in Atlanta GA. This role is essential in providing exceptional preoperative care to patients preparing for surgery. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in a preoperative or similar clinical setting.Key Responsibilities:- Conduct preoperative assessments, including reviewing patient histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.- Prepare patients for surgery, including providing preoperative instructions, administering medications, and ensuring informed consent.- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.- Educate patients and their families about the surgical process, post-operative care, and recovery expectations.- Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.- Monitor patients for any changes in condition and respond appropriately.- Ensure a clean, safe, and efficient preoperative environment.Qualifications:- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a preoperative or similar clinical setting.- Required BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certifications.- Strong knowledge of preoperative care procedures and protocols.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.Quick Med Staffing Job ID #2025-82098.
