OM USA is seeking a visionary and strategic leader with a passion for mobilizing resources to advance global ministry. The ideal Chief Advancement Officer is a dynamic and relational fundraiser with a proven track record in securing major gifts, developing diversified revenue streams, and leading high-performing teams. This person will possess exceptional communication and storytelling skills, the ability to inspire generosity, and the strategic acumen to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals.A successful candidate will have significant experience in nonprofit development, donor engagement, and international fundraising, with a deep understanding of both U.S. and global giving trends. They will be a collaborative leader, able to build strong relationships across diverse stakeholders and navigate complex funding landscapes with creativity and integrity. Most importantly, they will be driven by a heart for the mission of OM and a commitment to expanding outreach to the unreached through sustainable and transformational giving.*This role can be performed Remote with frequent travel to the Tyrone location.Major Responsibilities for the Chief Advancement Officer

  • Fulfill funding priorities that are shared and executed by fields worldwide.
  • Create a global case for support document.
  • Design and execute major gift funding campaigns when necessary.
  • Develop a world-class team of people inhabiting a purpose-built culture that enables strategic execution and fundraising success.
  • Engage pace-setting partners to develop sustainable and diversified revenue streams and lead gifts, ensuring the right mix of fundraising practices to fund operations and strategic priorities.
  • Be the main development connection for a group of key donors with annual performance goals.
  • Support the Global Generosity departments to design and execute plans to raise funds with clearly articulated goals.
  • Stay up to date on development trends in the U.S. and Internationally.
  • Consider new ways of raising sustainable funds to increase our support of the OM global mission.
  • Partner well with other OM USA and International departments and countries to optimize funds raised and donor care.Focused Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Participate as a member of the Leadership Team (LT) to lead the OM USA movement and partner well with OM across the world.
  • Develop, articulate and implement strategic business plans and policies to ensure accomplishment of strategic initiative goals.
  • Develop and recommend organization-wide policy related to general and project-specific fundraising.
  • Work with other members of the LT to track progress of the organization's mission and overall business objectives.
  • Build robust and innovative models for donor acquisition to attract deep and lasting partnerships resulting in new prospects for grants, gifts or other donations to meet the organizational goals for fundraising.
  • Develop, build, and grow the Major & Planned Gifts department, Development Operations, Communication and Stewardship, Freedom Challenge, Church Connections, Mid-Level Donors, and Field Relations functions in support of long-range business plans and strategies to generate significant financial resources.
  • Develop and guide the implementation of programs for events, donor vision trips, and other functions focusing on attracting and fostering relationships with individual, corporate, and foundation-level investors to maximize the potential for donations from segments of OM investors capable of providing unusually generous gifts.
  • Develop and adopt a case load of major strategic partners and nurture relationships to a deep and lasting partnership with OM.
  • Develop departmental operating budget for area of responsibility.
  • Manage assigned responsibilities in keeping with budget plan, monitor expenditures against plan, and review, investigate, and report on variances.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
