  • Closing Date: UNTIL FILLEDPOSITION SUMMARYThe Senior Director of Nutrition Compliance and Operations will oversee and coordinate district level compliance of the nutrition program to ensure compliance with all federal and state level regulations and will conduct ongoing analysis of nutrition operations to ensure immediate corrective actions are put in place where standards are not being met.ESSENTIAL DUTIES
    • Provides leadership and direction to department administrators and school child nutrition managers, and staff.
    • Analyze critical needs in assigned areas and work collaboratively to design, implement, and evaluate assigned programs for continuous improvement.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local school lunch program guidelines including preparation of related reports and documentation, including but not limited to:
      • all cafeterias and satellite meal sites, including all required visits, inspections, and Health Inspections required surveys and Records Retention management.
      • GaDOE audit information and materials to maintain Administrative Review readiness.
      • Supervise and coordinate compliance, review visits and reporting of findings.
      • Communicates with supervisor the results of compliance findings and recommend the staff development and training for child nutrition personnel.
      • Develops, reviews, and submits for approval departmental operating policies and procedures, handbooks, administrative procedures, and required forms.
      • Enters, monitors, and meets deadlines for applications in software applications for National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
      • Maintains roster review and cafeteria edit checks and corrections to provide support to Federal Reimbursement Claim.
      • Oversees department training and staff development to include sanitation.
      • Assists with staff development, campus promotions, student committees and training coordination.
      • Attends meetings for summer planning, Head Start, After School Meal programs, Student Health Advisory Council, and other meetings as needed, report and coordinate functions.
      • Establishes and maintains School Nutrition Association Program of Excellence best practice indicators for the area of responsibility.
      • Manages and directs the development of standards to ensure the operation of a financially and nutritionally sound School Nutrition program, utilizing multi-role vendor contracts.
      • Monitors evaluation of each school food service unit to determine its effectiveness in achieving program goals.
      • Manages and evaluates the performance of nutrition supervisory staff.
      • Completes Seamless Summer Food Service Program (SSO) contract and serves as department contact for SSO and collaborates with Department Directors for establishing sites within the district and site locations.
      • Facilitates communication and collaboration among assigned campus personnel and campus administrators to enhance service delivery, program development and customer satisfaction.
      • Required to have prompt, regular attendance in-person or virtually and be available to work on-site, in-person during regular business hours, and as needed.
      • Performs other duties as assigned by an appropriate administrator or their representative.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
        • Bachelor's degree in food and nutrition or business administration or related field required.
        • Master's degree preferred.CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
          • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
          • Registered Licensed Dietitian preferred.
          • ServSafe certification required.WORK EXPERIENCE:
            • Seven (7) years in food production operation and food service management.
            • Three (3) years in management required.

              • Knowledge of National School Lunch Program, Community Eligibility Program requirements.

              • Knowledge of computer applications, software, spreadsheets, and point-of-sale systems.
