OPPORTUNITYOur client is a publicly traded entity in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and cosmetics packaging space. This Finance Director position will lead the financial operations of the Commercial Affairs division and oversee all ongoing projects within the sector. This role is based south of Atlanta but will report to leadership overseas. This position will oversee financial operations and lead the decision-making process for financial items including budget setting, cost benefits analysis, FP&A, and financial forecasting, working closely with the divisional president and divisional CFO.SCOPE OF WORK

• Direct the Commercial Affairs division's financial operations which include, but are not limited to functions such as FP&A, tax preparation, consolidations, benefits administration, annual budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and benchmarking.
• Manage the annual budgeting process and define cost allocation numbers in tandem with other division VPs and Finance Directors. Demonstrate strong communication, financial analysis, and negotiation skills.
• Work closely with production and manufacturing leadership to understand current manufacturing numbers and how those projects impact budgets and current costs.
• Manage monthly financial consolidation and ensure timely reporting.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and ensure accounting policies are in compliance with legal requirements at the state and federal level.
• Prepare financial reports, periodic forecasts, daily GL accounting statements, and division financial analysis reports for the annual budget planning process.
• Oversee the interpretation of operating results and manage benchmarking/auditing of financial statements.
• Work closely with the internal IT team to manage, update, and administer financial reporting systems.
• Maintain banking relationships.
• Supervise accounting and finance team members, providing feedback on work product and assisting with career development initiatives. Hold management level team members responsible for managerial work, deploy resources across the team, and hire/train new associates.
• Serve as finance and accounting liaison with parent and affiliate companies, as well as other internal divisions.
• Work closely with external vendors for annual audits and tax return preparations.
• Provide financial updates and guidance to Global VP of Finance, CEO/President, and other firm leadership to aid in informed decision-making processes.
• Perform any other financial or accounting functions as delegated by the VP of Finance and Controlling and/or company President as needed.IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Bachelor's in finance or accounting is required; Master's degree is preferred.
  • 8+ years of work experience in a financial operations role, preferably within a manufacturing company or an organization with global operations.
  • 4+ years of people leadership experience and ability to work cross-functionally within a multi-national organization.
  • Strong track record of success managing financial reporting operations, budgeting, and forecasting, preferably in a manufacturing/warehouse operations space or with a global organization.
  • Experience with one or more financial software and ERP systems; strong knowledge with SAP FICO is preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% (domestic and international) and ability to work a hybrid schedule in Peachtree City.
