Job Description:

Immediate need for a Tax Associate to join Leading Public Accounting firm in Atlanta. Amazing support, development and benefits while having the opportunity to work fully remote!The responsibilities of the Tax Associate will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Become familiar with the firm's policies and procedures.
• Effectively communicate with clients to receive information necessary to complete the engagement with minimum disruption to client.
• Understand the rules, regulations, and Code of Professional Conduct of the AICPA
• Attends and participates in professional education including in-house industry group meetings and participates in professionally sponsored training sessions.
• Obtain a working knowledge of research techniques and the various research sources in the firm library.
• Use the firm's software programs to automate the process from trial balance, financial statement, and the tax return. This may include using technology to link client's software with the firm's.
• Reconcile client records to trial balance, which may include analytical procedures, and performs schedule computations of pre-paids, accruals, property, and equipment, and calculates depreciation expense.
• May be required to perform all phases of an engagement, including report writing and tax return preparation.
• Assist in the development and training of junior staffEducation and Years of Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance preferred
  • 1+ years of tax experience or extensive Internship experience
